A lot of the Giantamax designs are great and I hope they are used for something in the future but other than that Dynamax is not really for me. Not discussing past gimmicks being removed (like Z Moves and Megas) Dynamax feels like a thrown together idea with no real direction behind it. Finally, I don't "get" the dynamax gimmick. ![]() The wild area feels like a big miss potential that is really bland and muddy (improved drastically with the dlc areas). Some negatives however is that the storyline with the villain/s is not really good even with it being a Pokemon game. They clearly had a vision for this game that they couldn't deliver upon fully because of the short deadlines. ![]() ![]() Some positives I can say about it are that the new Pokemon for the most part, most characters, the music, and parts of the world design are all great. Just to be clear, I don't get joy from a series I love causing me to think this way but those are my honest thoughts. It isn't bad, and has some amazing moments, but a lot of the game feels lifeless and/or extremely rushed. Take away all the controversy and discussion about Dexit and animations and it is still a mediocre Pokemon game for me. ![]()
